SwanCap is delighted to announce the recent decision of Andreas Bohn to play a much larger role in the growth and development of SwanCap.
Andreas resigned from the Board of UniCredit Bank AG in September and joins SwanCap in Munich as Managing Partner. He will also continue to have active involvement with UniCredit and the Board, especially given the bank’s key strategic shareholding in the SwanCap platform. Andreas was instrumental in the set-up of SwanCap and in the development of its predecessor business, UniCredit`s Private Equity division, and brings significant experience in alternative investing across both equity and debt over the past 20+ years.
This move will further solidify UniCredit’s relationship with SwanCap and strengthen its goal in partnering with a credible platform in the growing alternative investing market place, which is highly complementary to the bank’s deal origination and client base.
Andreas is Board Member of UniCredit Bank AG for Corporate and Investment Banking. Prior to that he was Country Head of Financing & Advisory Germany and the Global Head of Principal Investments of UniCredit Group. He was a divisional board member of UniCredit Bank AG and member of the credit committee. Over the past c. 20 years Andreas was instrumental in building the bank´s international and domestic franchise in several product categories including leverage and project finance, corporate lending and structured finance, principal investments, shipping, real estate, M&A, etc. Andreas holds an MBA from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich (Germany) and a PhD in Strategic Management from the University of Munich.
